BRIDGES Engage
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
About BRIDGES Engage
What is BRIDGES Engage?
BRIDGES Engage is a mobile-first digital platform developed by NeuroAI that supports parents and caregivers of children with neurodiversity, specifically on autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It provides expert-curated content, interactive learning modules, and guided daily life activities designed to assist in skill development and behavioral support for neurodiverse children. BRIDGES Engage is part of the broader BRIDGES OS: a connected ecosystem that links families, clinicians, and care organizations through AI-driven tools like Engage and Clarity.
What sets BRIDGES Engage apart from other parenting or ASD platforms?
BRIDGES Engage is not just an information hub — it’s an interactive learning platform powered by clinical research, co-designed with neurodiversity professionals, and personalized to your child’s developmental needs.
Inside, you’ll meet Allie, your AI companion, created to support communication, routines, and behavioral challenges. You’ll also access a growing library of 900+ evidence-based autism articles and resources, designed to bring clarity and confidence to daily care.
The platform includes adaptive content to guide daily activities and social interactions, task management tools, progress tracking, and more — all built to help families and clinicians work together with ease and empathy.
Is BRIDGES Engage a substitute for therapy?
No. While BRIDGES Engage complements professional therapy, it’s not a replacement. It’s best used as a daily reinforcement tool alongside speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA, or other clinical interventions.
Is the content inclusive of different types of neurodiversity?
While BRIDGES Engage is designed primarily for children with Autism Spectrum, many of the strategies, exercises, and tools can also support children with ADHD, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays.
Platform Features & Access
What features does BRIDGES Engage offer?
• Evidence-based learning content curated by expert clinicians
• AI augmentation that personalizes learning content according to the user requirements
• Parental tips and resources from neurodiversity experts
• Interactive tasks to support motor, language, and social development
Upcoming features:
• Daily activity planner with routine-building guidance
• Visual schedule creator for children
• Progress tracking and Report sharing
• Community Q&A and Caregiver Support Forum
Do I have to sign up through an institution, clinic, or care partner?
No, you do not have to sign up through a care partner to use BRIDGES Engage. The platform is available for individual parents and caregivers to sign up directly. While BRIDGES Engage can also be used in partnership with institutions (such as clinics or research groups), personal users can access it independently by downloading the app and creating their own account.
What does “select a care partner” or “add a care partner” mean on My Passport?
If you’ve been invited to join BRIDGES Engage through a partner organization — such as a clinic, research group, or support service — you may see an option to “select care partner” or “add a care partner” during “My Passport” setup. In these cases, the institution usually provides a unique code or a custom onboarding process to help you get started. Select the name of the organization from the list and enter the unique code to incorporate the institution’s features and benefits. NeuroAI is always expanding with partnerships, so feel free to check in with your clinic or provider to see if they’re connected with BRIDGES!
Can I track progress for more than one child?
No. At this time, BRIDGES Engage allows only one child per account for the user. Multiple child profiles under one parent account are currently not enabled.
Is BRIDGES Engage available on both Android and iOS?
The app is currently available for download only on the Apple App Store. It will also be available in Google Play Store in the future.
Can I use BRIDGES Engage on a tablet or desktop?
BRIDGES Engage is currently optimized for smartphones only (iPhone). Versions for iPad and desktop may be considered in future releases.
Research, Content & Credibility
Who creates the content on the platform?
All content is developed in collaboration with neurodevelopmental pediatricians, behaviour analysts, and parents of neurodiverse children. We also co-create content with our pilot partners. Each module is evidence-informed and reviewed for inclusivity and accessibility.
What kind of research backs BRIDGES Engage?
The learning materials and activity contents are based on the research behind best practices and evidence-based intervention approaches to Autism Spectrum. We are also currently undergoing research studies with our pilot partners to validate the efficacy of our platform during wait periods for intervention.
How frequently is content updated?
Content is updated quarterly based on the latest research findings and user feedback. New modules are added regularly to cover more age groups and behavioral challenges, with ongoing expansions to enrich the overall library.
Can I request content on specific topics (e.g., toilet training, meltdowns, etc.)?
Yes. Users can submit content requests through the support mailbox of NeuroAI. These requests will be incorporated during the quarterly content revamp to help us prioritize future updates.
Do I need to be affiliated with a specific institution to use the Allie feature?
Yes, currently access to Allie is limited only to the families connected through pilot phase care partners and institutions. The parents and caregivers who are referred by participating institutions (clinics, schools, or support organizations) receive a secure care partner code to activate the Allie feature on the app. We’d be happy to notify you as soon as Allie becomes available to the independent users with premium subscription—simply let us know if you’re interested through support@neuroai.ca.

How do I get started with the platform?
Once a new user signs up and creates a child profile, the app will guide the user through an onboarding flow to assess the child’s developmental stage, communication level, and goals (BRIDGES CONNECT Questionnaire). Based on the assessment, the app will suggest a personalized starting point for taking care of the child.
My onboarding instructions say I also need an Authenticator app to complete the account registration. Why do I need an Authenticator app?
To keep your personal information and your child’s data secure, BRIDGES Engage uses Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) during account registration and login.
The Authenticator app (like Microsoft Authenticator) adds an extra layer of protection by generating a one-time verification code that only you can access on your mobile device. This helps ensure that only authorized users can access your account, even if someone else knows your password.
You’ll only need to set up the Authenticator app once during registration. After that, you’ll use it to confirm your identity during logins and important security-related actions.
Which Authenticator app should I use? How do I find and download an Authenticator app from Apple Store?
We recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app for secure two-factor authentication (2FA) during your BRIDGES Engage account registration and login.
• Free to use
• Easy to set up
• Trusted by healthcare and digital platforms worldwide
To download and install MS Authenticator on your iPhone/Apple device:
1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Search tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Type “Microsoft Authenticator” into the search bar.
4. Look for the app published by Microsoft Corporation.
5. Tap Get or the cloud icon to download.
6. Once installed, open the app and follow the setup instructions.
Note: You will be prompted to scan a QR code during BRIDGES Engage registration to connect your Authenticator app.
If you already have another trusted authenticator app (like Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, or Authy), you may use that as well — but Microsoft Authenticator is our top recommendation for compatibility and ease of use.

How much time should I spend on the app daily?
Parents/caregivers are recommended to invest at least 10–15 minutes daily in the app for the guided activities or lessons.
Is the platform engaging for children directly, or is it only for parents?
While parents/caregivers are the primary users, many modules include routines and interactive tasks that can be done together.
Who can create an account on BRIDGES Engage? Is there a minimum age for users?
BRIDGES Engage is designed to be used by parents and legal caregivers of neurodiverse children. To create an account, you must be at least 19 years old (or the age of majority in your region) and have the legal authority to manage and share information about the child in your care. The platform is built to support adult caregivers in tracking developmental progress and accessing helpful resources—especially during wait periods for professional services.
Is BRIDGES Engage suitable for children of different ages?
Yes! BRIDGES Engage is designed to support families with children of various ages, especially during early developmental stages and school-age years. The content is personalized based on the child’s profile and developmental needs — not just their biological age. Whether you’re supporting a toddler with emerging communication skills or an older child working on social routines, the BRIDGES Engage platform offers flexible, age-appropriate guidance and tools to help you along the way. As the platform grows, we’ll continue to expand our resources to include more age ranges and specific needs.
