On April 4th, join us for an intimate, in-person gathering that marks the beginning of a new chapter—the launch of a community centered around AI + Neurodiversity in Toronto.
Hosted by Rageen Rajendram (NeuroAI), Dr. Azadeh Kushki (Canada Research Chair in Neurodiversity and Personalized Health), and Alex Barnes (GenAI Collective Toronto), this event is an invitation to neurodivergent individuals, allies, and curious minds to explore the transformative power of cognitive diversity in AI innovation—and vice versa.
Together, we’ll dive into conversations that challenge assumptions, foster meaningful connections, and generate fresh ideas for making AI more inclusive, equitable, and enriched by diverse ways of thinking.
“As we push the boundaries of what AI can do in healthcare, we have a responsibility to ensure neurodivergent voices are not just included—they’re centered. The innovation we seek doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s sparked through collaboration, dialogue, and a willingness to challenge assumptions,” said Dr. Rageen Rajendram, Chief Medical Officer at NeuroAI.
This is more than an event—it’s the start of a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking community at the intersection of neurodevelopmental care, artificial intelligence, and lived experience.
“That’s what this event is about. We’re laying the foundation for a community that brings together researchers, clinicians, technologists, families, and neurodivergent individuals to co-create the future of AI—one that’s equitable, inclusive, and shaped by lived experience. The only way forward is together,” he added.
